Honda of America Mfg., Inc. (HAM) is seeking a Human Resources Generalist. Role includes conducting ongoing collection and assessment of data points (i.e. associate sentiment, etc.) leading to impact analysis and applicable countermeasures. Supporting customer in business decision analysis and implementation of effective countermeasures. Providing refinement and development of Honda of America Mfg., Inc. (HAM) policies and procedures. Acts as a strategic business partner with departments regarding business plan themes or initiatives that might have an impact on associates. Conducts thorough, unbiased investigations and case reviews. Supports investigation management activities (conducts thorough investigations, ensures adequate documentation, engages in corrective action including review panels and provides post-employment follow through (i.e. unemployment). Improves existing methods of identification and supports development of future leaders within the plant. Supports HAM legal team (court, depositions), hearings – unemployment, workers comp, etc. Supports department town meetings and roundtables. Monitors and supports exempt and non-exempt associate adherence to HAM’s policies and procedures. Conducts exit interviews. Supports Leave of Absence (LOA) disapproval monitoring. Provides leadership training as appropriate (i.e. Leadership Essentials Workshop, etc.).

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Position requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience as an HR generalist (including Employee/Labor Relations). Project management experience is preferred. Knowledge in executing the following areas of Employee Relations: Policy development and administration, Investigations, Correction action, relevant HR laws and regulations. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related degree required.
