Ray & Barney Group are currently recruiting an Organizational Development & Learning Consultant to join our client’s growing team! This is new, permanent, full time position in a large, best in class organization based in Columbus, Ohio. This an ideal role for an accomplished training specialist with at least 8 years of experience in Organizational Development and Curriculum Development who enjoys collaboration and building internal and external relationships.

Job Summary:

Under the guidance of the Manager, Organization Development and Learning (ODL), the ODL Consultant is responsible for delivering high quality organization development and learning support to leadership and teams. This role actively engages with key stakeholders to provide consultation, needs assessment, recommendations, and delivery of OD solutions as well as training and development programming and events in support of customer needs.

The incumbent will take an active role in personal training facilitation as well as arranging external facilitation depending on the need.

Responsibilities:

Consultation: Consult with organization leaders and employees to conduct needs assessment and provide training and development recommendations in both technical and non-technical business areas.

Talent Management & Workforce Planning: In partnership with ODL Director and Manager, provide continuous improvement in the processes, tools, and communication related to talent planning and development for the global organization.

Training Planning and Facilitation: Organize and deliver all aspects of training events including Learning Management System registration, vendor coordination, communication to all parties, facility and materials preparation, training facilitation, and post training follow-up.

Assessment Tool Facilitation: Act as the primary point of contact for the Birkman methodology and tools. Responsible for Birkman consulting, facilitation in 1:1 or group settings, and database management.

Project Management: Lead assigned projects and activities in support of the ODL team (examples include New Employee On-Boarding Program, Performance Management Program coordination)

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Organization Development, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Education, Communication or similar type of degree programs. Advanced degree preferred.

5-8 plus years of work experience with at least 3 years of applied experience in organization development, training, and curriculum development. Able to manage all aspects of training program delivery.

At least 3 years of demonstrated facilitation experience with small and large groups (up to 25 participants). Certification in facilitation skills is preferred.

Proven consultation skills in the area of needs assessment and solutions.

Knowledge and experience in the use of talent assessment tools such as Birkman, DISC, Myers-Briggs, or similar tools. Certification in one or more tools is preferred.

Well developed project management skills. Able to utilize tools and methods to keep projects on track through execution.

Excellent collaboration skills; knows how to build effective partnerships internally and externally
