Labor Relations Specialist
The Columbus Dispatch is seeking a Labor Relations Manager to join its Human Resources team. Working out of our production facility, this experienced professional will be responsible for the administration and interpretation of various labor agreements and grievance procedures, including providing labor relations support during contract negotiations, acting as a liaison between department managers and union representatives, providing sound advice and counsel to managers regarding personnel practices, policy and employment laws, and consulting with management regarding negotiation points in developing a new or revised union contract.
In partnership with management, this individual will perform additional HR responsibilities, such as ensuring consistency and compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations, conducting employee relations activities and administration including investigations, training, performance management and improvement, and communicating employee benefit plans.
Education, training, experience:
